Dear Forest Park Residents, It hasn’t been easy, but we’ve all been working hard to stay healthy and get back to some sense of normalcy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The board is continually evaluating the status of association common areas, amenities, and operations with help from Becker Poliakoff, OURROC, the Community Association Institute, our insurance provider, and other business partners.
Based on the current reopening plans issued by the Florida Department of Health, the buildings will be reopened Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at noon for limited use by individuals and small groups (less than 20). GUESTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE BUILDINGS AT THIS TIME. Residents and high touch areas will be cleaned once daily by maintenance staff Monday through Friday. Residents are encouraged to bring their own sanitizing wipes to clean equipment and materials before and after use.
These operating plans are subject to change based on government and health department directives, guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and advice from our professional partners.LIABILITY RELEASE & WAIVER
Although open, the use of association amenities and facilities still contains risks to you, should you participate. Entry to the buildings and participation in activities is at your own risk. Therefore, prior to entering the buildings, you must sign an association Release of Liability Related to COVID-19 document. The waivers may be obtained at the reception desk in the Activities Building. Please complete them and submit via the office mail slot located in the inside and outside door.
ASSOCIATION MEETINGS & EVENTS
Additionally, the association has postponed/canceled community events and large group activities. The Board will re-evaluate at month end regarding allowing larger groups such as Bingo..
The office will remain closed and business will continue to be done via email, telephone or by appointment if urgent.
SOCIAL DISTANCING & FACE COVERINGS
In-person interactions should be limited to individual households and those who have been following the recommended social distancing (6 feet) and hygiene guidelines and in groups of 20 or fewer. Face coverings should be worn in public settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
The association will not and does not make any of the decisions mentioned above lightly. These actions are being taken to help protect the health and welfare of the residents of this community and in compliance with the state of Florida’s directives. We recommend you bookmark and check frequently the Department of Health coronavirus website at https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/ The Board may reconsider the status of facilities based upon resident cooperation with posted protocol.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Stay safe and healthy.
